I'm from the Future

Half-Glass Gaming [Episode 8] : I’m from the Future

This week, we travel back from the future to bring you tidings of gaming goodness. We chat Back to the Future for NES, Life Is Strange, and, of course, Chrono Trigger. We also get into the weeds about the female gaming demographic, and Julian makes predictions about the episode. Does he nail it? You’ll have to listen to find out. Plus, it’s a movie extravaganza as Josh and Mandi travel back in time to see The Road Warrior in theaters, the Reverend reminds us how awesome the “Time in a Bottle” scene from X-Men: Days of Future Past is, and Julian talks about some movie that’s kind of like Mad Max but is actually about hipsters with broken hearts. Oh, and Primer messes us all up.…

IGN Has Called Every Mainline, 3D Zelda Title the Best Zelda Game Ever Made

I’m not always comfortable trying to predict whether an upcoming video game will be any good, especially if it’s something we know very little about. I learned my embarrassing little lesson with a game called Brink, which I paid very close attention to, watching and re-watching every trailer and gameplay video as they came out. And I don’t think I need to remind you about how disappointing Aliens: Colonial Marines was after all the hype it received in the months leading up to its completely disastrous release.…

The Internet Erupts in Unbridled Joy as Majora’s Mask Is Officially Announced for the 3DS

It’s always fun to see years of rumor and speculation culminate with what everyone wanted all along. That’s precisely what occurred tonight when Nintendo announced a remastered release of their classic Nintendo 64 title, The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask, for the Nintendo 3DS. This shouldn’t really come as much of a surprise, given the 2011 release of the game’s precursor, Ocarina of Time, for the very same system. Series producer Eiji Aonuma hasn’t exactly been dismissive of the rumors surrounding a potential remastering of Majora’s Mask, either. As I wrote earlier this week, there are few games more important to me than Ocarina of Time. I felt that the 3DS version of the game was just as good, if not even better than the original.…
