Diddy Kong Racing and Tekken 2 Are This Week’s Retro World Series Online Events

Diddy Kong Racing

Get ready to clench your fists and rev your engines, the Retro World Series Summer Series events are so hot it hurts! This Saturday (August 1, 2020), players of all skill levels can compete in Diddy Kong Racing and Tekken 2 events.

Diddy Kong Racing starts at 2pm Central, while Tekken 2 begins at 6pm Central.

Both of these games are couch co-op classics. Tekken 2 hit arcades in 1995, and was released on Sony PlayStation the following year. Diddy Kong Racing came out in 1997 for the N64 and was developed by the legendary Rare (which was also behind Battletoads, Banjo-Kazooie, and GoldenEye 007 — and don’t forget Donkey Kong Country). It’ll be interesting to see these games — both of which are more than two decades old — bringing out competitors across the globe.
