The Analogue Pocket Handheld Retro Gaming Console Preorders Sold Out Within Minutes

Analogue Pocket

We’ve had our eyes on the Analogue Pocket for quite some time now. This beautiful gadget plays Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance cartridges. You can also buy adapters that add Game Gear, Atari Lynx, and Neo Geo Pocket Color to that list.

On top of that amazing gaming functionality, it also has Nanoloop sequencing software built into it, which means you can also use this to make music (if you’re into chiptune stuff). Add a MIDI interface and you’ve got us Retrovolvers drooling over here.

Plus, this thing is freaking gorgeous.

Pre-orders went live today (August 3, 2020), but this thing sold out within minutes — literally. Analogue posted on Twitter that preorders were open, and 14 minutes later they posted that they’d sold out. At the time of this writing, both the black version and white version are listed as “Out of Stock” on the Analogue website.

Analogue Pocket - Sold Out

The silver lining here is that Analogue claims they will be increasing production to meet the unexpectedly high demand. We’re really hoping they make enough for everyone who wants one, because these are awesome.

As retro gaming enthusiasts and fans of chiptune music, we’re definitely hoping to get a couple of these to add to our collection.
